Tenant Information Hub

Tenant Information and Support

This hub helps MyEstate tenants find practical information about applying, moving in, reporting repairs and ending a tenancy. Your agreement and the law determine your rights and responsibilities; contact us if you need an item explained.

Applying and moving in

We explain the documents needed for identity, Right to Rent and applicant checks. The lawful checking route depends on your circumstances; not every applicant uses the same document or share-code process. Submit personal information only through the agreed secure route.

Read the agreement before signing and review your inventory at the start of the tenancy. Tell us promptly about anything inaccurate. Our Tenant Fees PDF explains permitted payments, deposit limits and the conditions for any charge.

Repairs and safety concerns

Report repairs promptly with your address, contact details, photographs where useful and a description of the problem. Tell us about leaks, electrical concerns, damaged safety equipment, damp or mould, and any immediate risk. Explain access arrangements and any health circumstances relevant to urgency.

For an immediate threat to life, call 999. For urgent property issues, use our emergency number, 07305 056452, as well as the reporting route supplied for your tenancy. Avoid putting yourself at risk or attempting unsafe repairs.

Ending your tenancy

For an assured periodic tenancy, ordinarily give two months' written notice unless a shorter period is agreed in writing. Ask us to confirm the end date and arrangements for returning keys. There is no termination fee when the tenancy is lawfully ended with the required notice.

If you disagree with a deposit deduction, request the evidence and use the deposit scheme's dispute process where available. Complaints can be raised through our published Complaints Procedure.
